Tutors & Educational Consultants
We are a well established and successful tutoring organisation with long family tradition in tutoring in Melbourne and across Victoria. As a result of our success and high quality tutoring, we have every year an increasing demand for our services and we need more people to help us to meet that demand. Currently we have vacancies for a number of tutors and educational consultants.
We are looking for tutors who are able to teach one or more of the following subjects and year levels:
- Primary (grade 1 – 6) Maths and English
- Secondary (7 – 10) Mathematics, English and Science
- VCE (year 11 & 12) Specialist Maths, Mathematical Methods 1,2,3 &4, Further Maths and General Advanced, English, English Language, ESL and Literature Chemistry, Physics, Biology etc.
- University Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry etc.
Tuition usually takes place at a student’s home or local libraries. There is also opportunity to teach small groups in tuition centre. While tutors are working independently, they still have great company support (training, knowledge updating, study material etc.). You have flexibility to take as many students as you wish and your preferred time to work. While your first responsibility is to develop knowledge and learning abilities of your students, you will also be required to keep accurate record of your work for each student and periodically to submit your forms to us. You should be easily contactable (by phone) and occasionally (if necessary) to attend tutor’s meetings.
Registered teachers, other professionals, PhD and Masters students with some tutoring experience will be seriously considered to become our tutors. We will also consider university students with high VCE enter score and excellent academic achievements as we can provide adequate tutoring training (if needed). However, all our tutors must possess the following skills and knowledge.
- Sound knowledge in subject(s) you are teaching
- Solid understanding of Victorian Education system and school curriculum for your subject(s)
- Ability to adjust your teaching methods to each individual student.
- You have to have some level of leadership skills, to demonstrate maturity and professionalism with a passion for motivating students to excel in their studies and to have a genuine interest in creating a positive learning environment as a role model for students.
- To communicate effectively with young children as well as with parents from different backgrounds.
- To have a car, drivers licence and WWC card.
An excellent hourly rate will be offered to the right candidates.
Please, state clear in your application, subject(s) and year levels you wish to tutor, your tutoring experience (don’t worry if you don’t have any, still you can be considered as we have some training programs) and preferred location for tutoring.
To apply, fill up the Tutor Registration form and submit to us. Optional, you can send your application (resume and short letter) to firstname.lastname@example.org
We also need a number of Educational Consultants to help us in marketing, advertising and sales of our tutorial products and services. You will need to answer to incoming calls from prospective clients, to explain to them our range of services and to close the sale. Occasionally you may need to visit some families and schools. This work requires a light level of commitment, probably no more than 4 to 5 hours a week and can be done, even, without affecting your current employment.
Excellent presentation, communication and telephone conversation skills, together with understanding of education system in Victoria and some sales experience will qualify you for this interesting work. However, candidates without sales experience are also encouraged to apply as we can provide some necessary training.
Position is ideally suited to current educational consultants looking to take on some extra work, but also this is an excellent opportunity for mums at home, university students, retired teachers or any unemployed people looking for part time work. This is commission only paid work with great commission structure that can make even, full time earning for a part time job. We are also expecting applications from people residing in regional Victoria (Ballarat, Bendigo, Mildura etc.) as we are extending our services across the whole state.
Send your application (resume and short latter) stating your current position, skills and location where you would like to work to email@example.com
